" I was traveling alone and stayed at this guesthouse for 2 nights. The family and staff are very warm and welcoming, and gave me a wonderful first glance into Nepal. The guesthouse and rooms are very clean, with hot water in the showers available during a certain time during the day. Breakfast is very nice too, and is eaten upstairs with a beautiful view of the town and surrounding countryside. One night, I had a lovely dinner with Krishna and his family, and the following day, Krishna's wife took me to the children's home, which was a truly memorable experience. The sweet girl who was part of the staff even took me to one of the shops to help me get the "non-tourist" price on an item I wanted to buy :-) Also, just a couple minutes' walk to the main square. Overall, wonderful stay, and I would recommend it to everyone!"

" I stayed at Heart of Bhaktapur from the 13th-15th April. I was travelling on my own. The family there met you as if you were a long lost relative. Mandira was happy, bubbly and had a great sense of humour which made you feel right at home. I was there for Bisket Jatra festival, and on both days of my stay Kiran took me around and showed me the festival, taking 2 hours out of his day each time. I am extremely grateful for this as it was an awesome experience. I was able to meet the kids that the hotel/Suvadra foundation supports, which was a great experience.

The rooms are basic and clean, solar hot water from 2-5 in the afternoon is easily negotiable with sightseeing during the day. But what sets this place apart is its service. I had a great experience here and recommend to everyone."
